Why go to a crowded ski resort? The Almanor/Chester area has plenty of snow during
the winter in a slow paced, friendly and affordable environment.
For example, check out Coppervale Hill less than a half hour drive from the
house (East on CA 36). Expert instructors (such as Norm Wilson) will give you cross country or downhill lessons at a
very reasonable fee.

Chester.
